Business Equipment Cover
Office Contents
Whether you’re office based or work from home, this section of the Combined Liability policy will cover your Office Contents, including computers and electronic office equipment, furniture, stationery and Documents whilst within your Premises.
Where these items are owned by the Business, they are not ordinarily covered under a household insurance policy, so you need to have separate cover in order to be protected.
Your contents are covered for all risks which includes, but is not limited to, theft, fire, water damage from burst pipes and accidental and malicious damage.
Level of cover
You can choose to cover the value of your office contents up to £10,000, but we include £5,000 of cover as standard within the Combined Liability policy. The cover is subject to an excess of £100 for each and every claim - which means that you will pay the first £100 of any loss or damage, except for mobile phones, where the policy excess increases to £400 for each and every claim.
The value you should use when deciding how much cover to purchase, in order not to be underinsured, is the new replacement cost of the items.
If you require higher levels of cover than the drop-down fields allow, please contact us on 0330 118 0007.
Portable Equipment
This insurance will cover your portable electronic equipment when working away from your own premises or based at a client's site. The insurance cover is all risks, as noted above, and includes accidental physical loss (including theft) or damage.

Level of cover

The cover is subject to an excess of £100 for each and every claim - which means that you will pay the first £100 of any loss or damage, except for mobile phones, where the policy excess increases to £400 for each and every claim.
The value you should use when deciding how much cover to purchase, in order not to be underinsured, is the new replacement cost of the items.
